PERSONALITY
Hitomi is an extremely caring and compassionate individual, especially towards the ones she loves. A defining characteristic of hers is her warm, maternal presence whether it's towards her daughter Iris or the children she teaches. She is extremely empathetic, putting the needs of others as her top priority. Hitomi has had her share of tragedy, but despite that she remains kind, caring, and determined to keep to her ideals and goals. She is extremely resilient, but her calm and collected manners can be said to mask the deep traumas she has experienced. Hitomi is not a very aggressive or violent person, but she is dedicated to whatever she has decided and to the morals she follows - whether or not those morals align with the general public.
BACKGROUND

Hitomi was born as an only child, living with her two parents in the same home she still currently lives. She attended Eitoku High, befriending Renju Okiura and Manaka Iwai. The three became extremely close in her second year of high school. The same year, her parents died from an unknown accident.
Hitomi stayed close with Renju and Manaka after graduating. Manaka had been seeing So Seijma away from the public's eye, to the point that she got pregnant from him and gave birth to their child. She wanted to visit So after the birth as she loved him still and while Renju and Hitomi pleaded with her to not do so. Still, she went and was murdered by So's 12 year old son Saito Sejima. Her body was disposed of by Rohan Kumakura who was being followed by Renju and Hitomi via a GPS tracker given to Manaka. The two dug up the body of their best friend and moved her to a cold storage warehouse owned by Renju's father.
Hitomi ended up taking Manaka's baby as her own daughter with Renju promising to help at times as well. The two named the baby Iris.
Many years later, Hitomi met an injured man at a shrine. This was the assassin known as Falco. She did not care about his shady past and the two ended up dating for 3 months. Those three months were like a dream for her - someone was around that loved not only her but her pride and joy, Iris. The three were like a happy family and made many memories together. After 3 months, Falco wished to go clean but was tasked with killing a woman and a daughter as a last mission - Hitomi and Iris. Falco went to great lengths to save them, including swapping bodies with Rohan. But this backfired as Rohan, now in Falco's body, attempted to kill Hitomi. Falco ended up making it in time to save them from being killed, but accidentally shot Hitomi who was trying to save “Falco”. The shot was in her right shoulder and after extensive surgery she was fine, but it did kill some of the nerves in her shoulder causing her to lose the ability to use her right arm.
She never saw Falco again after this.
Hitomi has raised Iris since, devoting her life to keeping her safe, loved, and always happy.
